Operation Osprey

 "Handerson, come down from the tree. Then join Roberts at the beach end of the island. Sit down with your hands on your heads and wait." (p. 64)

    This quote is from the scene in which two men get caught by police who Mike and Don have alarted.

Don and Mike are best friends. They both live in the sleepy town of Saltley, and they both love birdwatching. Their lives suddenly become exciting when Mike spots a pair of ospreys at a nearby lake. The boys decide to protect the birds so that they can make a nest. But, when Mr. Roberstson takes an interest in the Birds, the boys begin to get suspicious. 

This book was pretty long but it was easy to catch the stream of the story.
