The Client

""One person is dead. One is in the hospital. The police and the FBI want to talk to me."

"Look, Mark. First you have to pay me something and then I'm your lawyer. I guess you don't have much money, don't you?"" (p. 23)

The Client, written by John Grisham, is a story about a boy whose name is Mark Sway. One day, he and his young brother witness the suicide of a man. Before the man commits suicide, the man finds Marc and his brother looking at the man. He reveals a secret  Mark that he is involved in the murder of the mafia and the place where the mafia hid a dead body.

After that, the man tries to kill Marc but, Mark runs away from the man. Eventually, the man commits suicide alone. Marc and his young brother witness it while they are hiding in the woods. Mark gets charged with the man's death, and Mark's young brother is sent to the hospital because of the shock. When Mark gets arrested, he asks for a lawyer's help. However, he is reluctant to tell the truth because Mark assumes that he will be killed by the mafia if he tells the truth. What will happen to Mark in the end...
