The story of castles

"you don't have to look far to find a ruin, just waiting to be explored"(p63)
Everyone knows that fairytale kings and queens live in castles. But only 1000 years ago, real lords and ladies lived in them too. One day, raiders from the far north sailed down and attacked villages across Europe. Then one lord had some ideas which are offering to protect villagers in return for their land and building a castle.  So they tried to build a great castle which is safe from enemies. But it explored too much. So in the end, the castle became dark, noisy, cold and often smelly. Finally, lords and ladies decided they didn’t want to live in cold, dark, noisy castles.

I thought the process of building the castle is like the three little pigs because the three little pigs also make some kinds of house. It was little boring but we can read this book with many pictures. From this book, I learned that doing too much is not good. This applies to every case.
