"It's going to be an awful summer!"
This day was Val's birthday and this is what she wrote in her diary given by her brother as a birthday present. From this day, she started keeping diary.
"We're going on holidays to Greenhill tomorrow. Da's driving. It's a small village in the middle of nowhere about 20 miles from the city centere. "
In summer vacation, she was taken countryside with family but she wanted to go home earlier. One day she met a handsome boy and fall in love. But the day they have to go home came. Then she don't want to leave the boy....
I read this book "Val's diary" in Teen Readers. There are a lot of words but also the words explanations. So it helps me a lot. This is written in 2009, by Mary Flagan and illustrated by Laula Ferracioli.
